Mike and Steve,

I received your “Forging Forward” CD in the mail last night and have been listening to it all morning. (I have a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system in my car which really does justice to the quality of your outstanding recording.) Thank you for sending it to me!

All I can say is WOW!  You guys are Pros, with a capital P.  Mike, you are a gifted composer, and both of you are superb musicians (bass, horns, vocals, guitar, et al.)  James Palmer is terrific, too.  The final mixes are of the highest quality.  (Not a surprise, with Jerry in the picture!)

It’s hard for me to pick a favorite track – they all are absolutely great.   Just a couple of comments:

1.  Love the message in “Hit it Hard”:  Give it everything you got, push it to the limit………We’re running out of time waiting for tomorrow, etc.  At my age, words to live by!

2.  If I had the impossible job of actually picking a couple of favorites, they would be:

“Somedays” and your uniquely beautiful arrangement of “From Me to You”.  I love Zoe Hall’s vocals and Mike, you’re great too.  Impeccable arrangements as well.

You both should be extraordinarily proud of this CD. Congratulations on a job well done!
